Mitchell College Athletics Hall of Fame

The Mitchell College Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 1989 to provide a means to recognize the efforts and achievements of various athletes, coaches, teams and contributors to Mitchell College Athletics. A total of 81 individuals have been enshrined in the Hall of Fame to date. You can search the online HOF either alphabetically or by induction class.

Nominations are currently being accepted. The criteria for selection into the Hall of Fame is as follows:

- An individual who will be considered on the basis of undergraduate athletic achievement must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Have distinguished him/herself through outstanding athletic participation (examples include, but are not limited to: All-American, All-New England, All-Conference, record holder, national statistical leader, etc.)
  • Be a graduate of Mitchell College
  • Have graduated at least five years prior to induction
  • Have been a member of a varsity team for a minimum of two years
  • Have represented the institution in a positive manner as an undergraduate as well as alumnus

- An athletic team shall be eligible for induction as a unit. The induction of a team shall not prohibit the separate induction of one or more of its member.

- Coaches, administrators, and special supporters of Mitchell College are also eligible for induction, if he/she:

  • Had a distinguished career or profound contribution
  • Given a minimum of five years of outstanding service
  • Ceased service in that capacity for which he/she is being nominated at least five years prior to induction
