Nine Mariners Land on NECC Fall Academic All-Conference Team


MARSHFIELD, Mass. - A record 211 student-athletes, including nine from Mitchell College, were named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference Team for the 2018 fall semester.

Representing the Mariners were sophomore Hannah Corrigan (women's soccer), junior Michaela DeSena (women's soccer), sophomore Diego Di Carlantonio (men's soccer), sophomore Ashley Holdridge (women's volleyball), senior Drew Johndrow (women's soccer), junior Yasmine Mai Le (women's soccer), senior Kate McCormack (women's cross country), senior Francesca Pinard (women's cross country) and senior Jacquelyn White (women's soccer).

A total of four Mariners were first-time fall honorees. DeSena was a repeat selection while Johndrow, McCormack, Pinard and White earned the distinction for the third time in their careers.

To be eligible for NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standing. Student-athletes who competed in men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's cross country, field hockey and men's golf were eligible for fall NECC academic honors.
