102 Student-Athletes Earn Fall Academic Honors

NEW LONDON, Conn. - A total of 102 student-athletes were among those who received academic recognition from Mitchell College for the 2023 fall semester.

All honorees recorded a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the semester. Of that group, 59 student-athletes were named to the Dean's List (3.50+ GPA) while 43 were tabbed Commendable Scholars. A total of nine student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA.

Mitchell student-athletes also turned in an impressive semester as a group. The 12 teams and just over 155 student-athletes combined to post a 3.17 GPA.

Students who meet the following requirements are eligible for either Commendable Scholar or Dean's List:
1. Must be a matriculated student.
2. Part-time students are eligible for commendable scholar status for every 12 calculable credits completed.
3. Must have a semester Grade Point Average between 3.0 and 3.49 for the given semester (Commendable Scholar) or 3.50 and 4.00 for the given semester (Dean's list).
4. May not have any Incomplete, Withdrawal or Failing grades for the given semester.
