Ferris Picks Up Second NECC Nod This Season

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College senior Bryton Ferris was named New England Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week for the sport of baseball, as announced by the league on Monday morning.

Ferris earns the honor for the second time this season (March 5). He scattered seven hits over 8.0 innings while striking out five to help Mitchell to a 10-1 victory over Dean last week. The senior lefty allowed only one unearned run and didn't issue a walk, improving to 5-0 on the season.

Ferris has logged a team-high 35.1 innings in five starts this season and currently owns the lowest ERA (1.02) in the NECC. In 27 career starts he has an 18-4 record with a 2.63 ERA.

Mitchell (17-3 overall, 7-2 NECC) will next host Salve Regina University on Wednesday, April 11 at 3:30 p.m.
