Baseball Ready for NCAA Regionals

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Early on Thursday morning, the Mitchell College baseball team boarded a bus en route to the 2022 NCAA Baseball Championship.

The Mariners (30-11 overall) are the fourth seed in the Annville (Pa.) Regional and will face top-seeded and 10th-ranked Rowan University (30-8 overall) in the opening round of the double-elimination tournament, which begins Friday, May 20. Game time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at McGill Field (directions). 

General admission tickets are $5 and can only be purchased at the gate. Tickets will go on sale one hour prior to the first game on each day. 

The winner of Friday's game between Mitchell and Rowan will face either second-seeded Washington & Jefferson College or third-seeded Lebanon Valley College on Saturday at noon. The losers from Friday's game will meet in an elimination game on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

The winner of the regional advances to super regionals and will face the winner of the Rochester (N.Y.) Regional.

Last Time Out

NECC Honors
Bo Yaworski was named NECC Rookie of the Year, the third Mitchell player to earn that award and the first since 2019
