Mitchell Esports Announces Rocket League Roster, Captain

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Mitchell College Esports program is proud to announce its first-ever Rocket League roster.

Clare Murphy (s_murfz), a senior, has been named team captain for the upcoming spring season. Ruben Gomes (Rubzs12_GS), Daniel Hotaling (TenFORREST88) and Elisabeth Reid (Flamingpuppeteer) round out the rest of the inaugural team.

"I know its early in the semester, but I am really proud of the dedication, excitement and grind these student-athletes are putting into Rocket League," said META CEO/Owner Chris Leonard. "We have brought in some legendary coaches from Ole Miss and Alabama to help this team perfect their craft, and it's a lot of fun to see those skills grow."

The Mariners will compete in the META College Championship and the NECC Spring Championship this spring. A complete schedule has yet to be announced.

The program is led META Pro Gaming. META is a full-service Esport management, developmental and consulting company. META provides Esports coaching, college Esports management, arena design and equipment.
