Mariners Place 18 on NECC Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference Team


ATTLEBORO, Mass. - A total of 155 student-athletes, including 18 from Mitchell College, were named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference Team for the 2015 spring semester.


Representing the Mariners were junior Rivkah Berkman (softball), junior Savannah Boyle (women's basketball), senior Jordan Cook (men's lacrosse), senior Drew Doyle (baseball), senior Michael Edwards (men's tennis), senior A.J. Fialkowski (men's lacrosse), senior Chris McKeon (men's tennis), senior Peter McTernan (baseball), senior Kenneth Olszewski (baseball), junior Shannon O'Neil (softball), senior Evan Peck (baseball), senior Dylan Riccardi (softball), junior Zack Rocheleau (men's tennis), senior Lindsey Romagnino (softball), sophomore Jessica Shepherd (women's basketball), sophomore Orson Sinclair (men's tennis), sophomore Sophie Spiller (women's lacrosse) and senior Dazjavia Williams (women's basketball).

A total of six Mariners were first-time spring honorees. Berkman, Boyle, Doyle, Edwards, O'Neil and Williams were all repeat selections while Cook, Fialkowski, McKeon, Olszewski, Peck and Romagnino earned the distinction for the third time in their careers. The 18 honorees are the most that Mitchell has produced during the winter/spring semester in the seven-year history of the award.


To be eligible for NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standing. Student-athletes who competed in men's and women's basketball, men's volleyball, baseball, softball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse and men's tennis were eligible for spring NECC academic honors.
