Men's Basketball Hosts Youth Clinic

EAST LYME, Conn. – More than 40 kids attended a youth basketball clinic hosted by the Mitchell College men's basketball team last month.

The three-hour clinic, held at East Lyme Middle School on October 23, focused on the fundamentals of the game. Head coach Todd Peretz and the Mariners offered instruction and taught drills on ball-handling, shooting and passing.

The clinic was held for boys and girls (ages 9-13) who play in the East Lyme Youth Basketball League. Peretz, now in his 12th season with the Mariners, looks forward to holding more clinics in the future. 

"I think our players got as much out of it as the kids who participated," said Peretz. "Our guys have such a passion for the game, and it was nice to see them passing that on to a younger generation."
