MBB's Quinn Tabbed NECC Rookie of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College freshman Tim Quinn was named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week for the sport of men's basketball, as announced by the conference on Monday morning.

Quinn earned the honor for the first time this season. He led the Mariners with a career-high 21 points in an 85-74 loss against Becker College over the weekend. He shot 7-for-14 from the field and 4-for-7 from three-point range while adding three rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Quinn, who has played in all 11 games while making four starts, ranks third on the team in scoring at 10.2 points per game. He has scored in double figures in five games and is tied for the team lead in three-point field goals (14).

Mitchell (1-10 overall, 0-3 NECC) returns to action at home against Connecticut College on Monday, January 10 at 7 p.m.
