MBB Ends Season With Loss at Becker


LEICESTER, Mass. - The Mitchell College men's basketball team wrapped up the 2010-11 season with an 85-50 loss at Becker College on Saturday afternoon.

Becker improved to 22-3 overall and finished the regular season a perfect 14-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference play. The Hawks will host the semifinals and finals of the NECC Championship beginning Friday at 6 p.m.

Trae Jacobs carried the Hawks with a game-high 20 points. Terrance Favors had 16 points while Rajai Leggett chipped in with 12. Tyler Robinson also contributed 10 points off the bench.

Freshman Chris Thomas came off the bench for Mitchell and scored a team-high 13 points in the loss. Junior Jeff Gomez also pitched in with eight points and six rebounds. Mitchell finishes the season with a record of 1-22 overall and 0-14 in the NECC.
