Hill Tabbed NECC Player of the Week


ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College senior forward Parris Hill was named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of men's basketball, as announced by the league Monday morning.

Hill averaged a team-high 27.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game over the first three contests of the 2014-15 season. He netted a career-high 36 points and added nine rebounds, six steals and a block in a win over Maine Maritime Academy at the Ramada Roundball Invitational. He also finished with 22 points and eight boards in the Invitational's opener against Middlebury College and was named to the all-tournament team. Hill then notched his first double-double of the season with 24 points and 10 rebounds against eighth-ranked Albertus Magnus College.

Hill earned player of the week honors for the first time this season and the fourth time in his career. He currently leads the NECC in scoring and ranks second in rebounding, fourth in blocks and fifth in steals.

Mitchell (1-2 overall) will next host Coast Guard Academy in its home opener on Wednesday, December 3 at 6 p.m.
