Maynard Tabbed NECC Rookie of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College freshman Josh Maynard was named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week for the sport of men's basketball, as announced by the league on Monday. 

Maynard came off the bench to average 4.0 points and 2.0 rebounds last week as the Mariners went 2-0 in NECC play. He drilled a three-pointer and grabbed a pair of rebounds in a win at Newbury College before finishing with five points, two rebounds and two assists in a victory over Lesley University.

Maynard is the first Mitchell player to earn the award since December 2012.

Mitchell will next host Daniel Webster College on Tuesday, February 17 at 5:30 p.m.
