Collectively, Becker shot 20-for-24 from the free throw line, good for 83.3 percent. The 102 points was the Hawks' highest output this season.

The Mariners (7-18 overall, 7-8 NECC) were led by Geary McLeod, who came off the bench to score 18 points. Brayvon Young finished with 15 points while Alan Morgan had 14 points with a game-high nine assists. Domenico Santiago posted 13 points and a team-best nine rebounds and Hasani Williams chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.

In the first half, the two teams went back and forth with Becker leading as many as nine while Mitchell refused to go away. The hosts went into halftime leading 47-44.

Early in the second half, the Mariners took their largest lead of the game when they surged forward to take a 60-55 lead off a three-pointer from Young with 15:24 left. The Hawks answered with a 10-0 run capped off with a three-point play from White, going up five with 11 minutes to go.

Clinging to a two-point advantage with 7:29 remaining, the Hawks exploded with an 11-0 run capped off with a layup from White with 4:49 left to go up 84-71. Ultimately, it would be the Hawks who would pull away down the stretch, and a dunk by White in the final minute put Becker ahead by 15 and put the game out of reach.

Mitchell has earned one of six seeds in the upcoming NECC Championship. The Mariners will play a first round game on Tuesday, February 21. A complete tournament bracket will be released by the league later today.
