MBB's Santiago Repeats as NECC Player of the Week

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – For the second straight week, Mitchell College senior Domenico Santiago was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of men's basketball, as announced by the league on Monday morning.

Santiago posted game highs of 31 points and 20 rebounds last week in non-conference action against Albertus Magnus College. His season-high 31 points came on 14-for-19 shooting, and his 20 boards tied a career high from his rookie season. He also contributed three blocks and an assist over 38 minutes.

Santiago earns player of the week honors for the second time this season and fifth time in his career. The 6-5 center is averaging team highs of 23.7 points and 16.3 rebounds per game through three contests this season.

Mitchell (1-2 overall) will next host Eastern Nazarene College on Saturday, December 1 at 1 p.m.
