Men's Golf Finishes Fourth in Season Finale

Final Results

GROTON, Conn. - The Mitchell College men's golf team hosted a quad match on Wednesday afternoon at Shennecossett Golf Course.

Anna Maria College shot a team round of 331 to take the match. Nichols College (332), Rhode Island College (336) and Mitchell (350) rounded out the team standings. Anna Maria's Nathan McNamara carded the low individual round of the day, a six-over par 77 that was three shots better than his nearest competitor.

Freshman Mike Baker put together the best round by a Mitchell golfer, shooting 83 to tie for fifth overall. Classmate Will Visel and sophomore Tad Maynard each shot rounds of 87 and tied for 13th overall while juniors John Pescheta (93) and Dan Varga (123) rounded out the scoring.

Wednesday's match was Mitchell's final competition of the season.
