Men's Golf Finishes Third at Mitchell Invitational

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Mitchell College men's golf team hosted the Mitchell Invitational on Wednesday afternoon and finished third overall in the rain-shortened event at Shennecossett Golf Course.

Due to heavy rain, the teams played only 10 holes before being pulled off the course. Newbury College posted the low team score of the day at 190, three shots ahead of Becker College (193). Mitchell (216) and Daniel Webster College (218) rounded out the field.

Newbury's David Hart led the field of 20 golfers with a 10-hole total of 44 while teammate Danny Lumb finished third at 46. Becker's Ryan Benson was runner-up at 45 while Max Jewett and Josh Sigman each posted rounds of 48 to lead Mitchell and Daniel Webster, respectively.
