Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at Blazers Invitational


GRANBY, Mass. – The Mitchell College men's golf team played in the first of two scheduled spring tournaments on Wednesday afternoon, finishing fifth overall at the Blazer Invitational at Westover Golf Course.

Elms College junior Henry Fall shot a one-over-par 73 to earn individual medalist honors and helped the Blazers to a team score of 308. Elms led the five-team field followed by Rhode Island College (327), Westfield State University (338), the Sage Colleges (371) and Mitchell (398).

Tyler Beadry led Westfield State with a round of 81 and finished in a tie for eighth place overall, while Jeff Stupera led Sage with an 82. Michael Pinkerton carded a team-best score of 86 to lead the Mariners. 

Nick Braunreuther and Chris Heller each shot rounds of 102 while John McGowan came in at 108. Ryan Kearns rounded out the Mitchell scoring with a round of 121.
