Golf Tees It Up at Becker

LEICESTER, Mass. -- The Mitchell College men's golf team came up short in a head-to-head match at Becker College on Tuesday afternoon at Leicester Country Club.

Becker put together a team score of 338 to top Mitchell's total of 367. Senior Michael Pinkerton led the Mariners with a round of 85 and finished tied for second overall. Becker's Justin McCloud led all players with a total of 78.

Freshman Mark Cardi carded a round of 90, just one off his season best score. Sophomore Matt Grudgen came in at 92 while senior Chris Heller and freshman Eric Davey rounded out the scoring at 100 and 129, respectively.

Mitchell will next compete at Newbury College on September 30 at 1 p.m.
