Men's Golf Tops Albertus Magnus

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Mitchell College men's golf team won a head-to-head match-up against Albertus Magnus College on Friday afternoon at Alling Memorial Golf Course.

The Mariners shot a team round of 349 while the Falcons put together a team total of 381. Mitchell's Michael Izzo turned in the low round of the day with an 85, and the rest of his teammates were close behind. Nick Knisel (87) and Jake Hancock (88) posted the next best rounds while Francis Prettitore (89) tied for fourth. David Eichelberg (90) rounded out the scoring for the Mariners.

Mitchell will next compete at the Dean Invitational on Sunday, September 24 at New England Country Club in Bellingham, MA.
