Golf Finishes Second at Saints Invitational

HYDE PARK, Mass. -- The Mitchell College men's golf team finished as runner-up at the Saints Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at George Wright Golf Course.

Dean College shot a team round of 331 to best the Mariners by 13 strokes. The field also included Emmanuel College (352) and Fisher College (N/A).

Nick Knisel paced Mitchell with a round of 81, good enough for third place in the field of 16 golfers. Michael Izzo was close behind at 84 while David Eichelberg came in at 87. Francis Prettitore rounded out the scoring for the Mariners with a 92.

Mitchell will wrap up the season by hosting the Mitchell Invitational on Wednesday, October 11 at Shennecossett Golf Course.
