Golf Hosts Albertus Magnus

GROTON, Conn. -- The Mitchell College men's golf team hosted Albertus Magnus College for a head-to-head match-up on Wednesday afternoon at Shennecossett Golf Course.

The Falcons finished with the low team round of 336, 30 shots better than the Mariners. AMC's Ryan Sember posted a 78 to lead the field of 10 golfers, and was the only one to go under 80 for his round.

Mitchell's Michael McCarthy was one of three golfers who finished as runner-up at 82. Shamus McLean was two shots behind at 84, while Jakob Margetta (95), Jared Hoover (105) and Nick Loris (114) rounded out the scoring.

Mitchell will next host a tri-match with Albertus Magnus and Elms College on Wednesday, April 21 at Shennecossett.
