Emerson Tops Men’s Lacrosse


BOSTON - The Lions of Emerson College topped the Mitchell College men's lacrosse team 22-8, and Zach Ledvina (New Bedford, Mass.) paced the Mariners with five goals and one assist.  The Mariners are still looking for their first win of the season.

Emerson scored the first eight goals of the game before Ledvina got Mitchell on the score board with his first goal of the day.  Adam Grillo (Waterford, Conn.) added two goals and an assist, while John Kearney (Wellesley, Mass.) dished out two assists.

Gregory Jameson (Newington, Conn.) faced 50 shots in the game and made nine saves in goal for the Mariners.  The Lions had a 58-35 advantage in ground balls, but only out-shot the Mariners by a 50-43 margin.

Mitchell, (0-7) is back in action on Saturday, April 18th when they host Daniel Webster College at 2:00 pm.
