Mitchell LAX Selected for ECAC Division III New England Championship

CENTERVILLE, Mass. -- Mitchell College was one of four schools selected to participate in the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Lacrosse Championship, as announced by the league on Monday.

The Mariners will play at top-seeded Salve Regina University (13-5 overall) in the semifinals on Wednesday, May 7 at 8 p.m. The winner of that game will host either Becker College (14-5 overall) or Regis College (9-7 overall) in the finals on Friday, May 9.

Mitchell qualified for the ECAC Championship for the second straight season and the third time in program history (2011, 2013, 2014). The Mariners went 8-7 under first-year head coach John Keysor and repeated as New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) champions, going 3-0 in league play while recording one-goal victories over both Becker and Regis.
