Tough Second Half Costs LAX at Daniel Webster


HOOKSET, N.H. -- Daniel Webster College reeled off nine unanswered goals in the second half to come away with a 16-7 win over Mitchell College on Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference men's lacrosse action at Penmen Field.

The Mariners scored the final four goals of the first half to tie the game at 7-7 heading into intermission. However, the Eagles put up five goals in the third quarter and four more in the fourth to run away with the victory.

DWC's Tre Mason led all scorers with five goals while Gavin Abbott and Tanner Todd each finished with hat tricks. Goalie James Bushey made 15 saves against 44 total shots.

Jacob Setzko paced Mitchell with four goals while Kyle Marsh netted a pair. Goalie JD LeMay made 10 stops between the pipes against 44 total shots.

Mitchell (1-7 overall, 0-1 NECC) will next host Wheelock College on Wednesday, April 12 at 4 p.m.
