NEW LONDON, Conn. - Regis College came away with and 14-3 victory at Mitchell College on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference showdown.

Anthony Marsella paced the Pride (2-0 overall) with a game-high five goals and handed out two assists. Nate Arsenault added a hat trick, while Nick Klein and Brendan Cook each came away with a pair of goals and Ryan Richardson handed out a game-high five assists

Regis never trailed at any point, however the Mariners fought hard early. After the Pride scored two quick goals, Schumacher answered to make it a 2-1 game. The Pride proceeded to post two more quick scores out of the intermission before Schumacher's second goal stopped the bleeding with 10:03 to go in the frame. Five unanswered goals to round out the third stanza allowed Regis to pull away, and by the time Schumacher secured the hat trick, the Mariners found themselves trailing by 10 with 9:10 to go.

Mitchell goalie Ethan Wheeler (Annapolis, Md.) played all 60 minutes in net, recording nine saves on 23 total shots. Keeano Gonzalez (New London, Conn.) scooped up a team-best four ground balls and Daniel Simpson (Hartford, Conn.) played a strong defensive game, tallying a ground ball three caused turnovers.
