Becker Claws Past Men's Soccer

LEICESTER, Mass. - Becker College defeated Mitchell College 1-0 in New England Collegiate Conference men's soccer action on Tuesday afternoon.

Freshman Ryan Singh broke the scoreless tied with 14:04 remaining in the game, when he redirected a Steve Aroujo pass into the net. Becker improved to 3-14-1 overall and 2-3-0 in conference play. Mitchell dropped to 4-11-0 overall and 2-4-0 in the NECC.

Sophomore Kevin Woodford made nine saves in goal for the Mariners. Aaron Fill finished with five saves for the Hawks and earned his third shutout of the season.

Mitchell will play its regular season finale on Saturday, October 31 at Southern Vermont College. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
