Sinani Tabbed NECC Player of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College junior Ramazan Sinani was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week for the sport of men's soccer, as announced by the conference on Monday morning.

Sinani, a goalkeeper, recorded a pair of shutouts last week to help the Mariners to consecutive 1-0 victories over Albertus Magnus College and Elms College. He made 10 saves in the win at Albertus and followed that up with nine in NECC play against Elms, including a diving stop in the 75th minute to keep the match scoreless.

In two conference games this season Sinani has allowed only one goal in over 188 minutes. He's also made 14 saves against NECC opponents and sports a save percentage of .933.

Mitchell (4-5-0 overall, 2-0-0 NECC) returns to non-conference action at Coast Guard Academy on Wednesday, October 2 at 7 p.m.
