MSoccer's Streak Snapped at Gordon

WENHAM, Mass. -- The Mitchell College men's soccer team had its three-game winning streak snapped at Gordon College on Wednesday night in an 8-1 loss in non-conference action.

Mitchell trailed 1-0 at halftime due to an own goal in the 18th minute, but the Scots came out hot to start the second stanza and increased the lead to 5-0 by the 70th minute. Mitchell's lone goal came off the foot of freshman Enajee Caple, who recorded his first collegiate tally in the final three minutes of the contest.

Matt Jaeger finished with a hat trick to lead Gordon, which improved to 11-3-0 overall on the season. Daniel Perez, Evan Crocker and Nathan Bilbie also added goals for the Scots.

Mitchell goalkeeper Ramazan Sinani made five saves against 19 total shots.

The Mariners return to conference play at home against Newbury College on Wednesday, October 22 at 3:30 p.m.
