BOSTON -- The Mitchell College men's soccer team rolled to its third straight win by a 7-0 final at Wheelock College on Saturday afternoon at Winsor Field.

With the win, the Mariners improved to 6-5-1 overall (3-0 NECC) while Wheelock dropped to 0-7-0 (0-2 NECC). 

Mitchell's freshmen class provided four of the seven goals in the contest, and junior Andrew Nigro contributed two goals and two assists for a six-point day. Nigro, who netted the game's second and sixth goals and also assisted a Yianni Longinidis marker, leads the team in scoring with 21 points on eight goals and five assists. 

Freshman Andris Vital got things going for Mitchell in the 15th minute, receiving a ball from Nigro and attacking the net from the right side. Classmates Juan Perez, Andrew Storton and Arthur Atkinson eached chipped in with a goal. Perez and Atkinson each recorded their first collegiate scores while Vital ran his total to three and Storton to seven.

Sophomore Anthony Drake stopped two shots to pick up his third shutout of the season. Wheelock's Jordan Bernard made an impressive 19 saves in the loss. 

Mitchell will next host Becker College on Saturday, October 17 at noon.
