Men's Soccer Grabs Fourth Seed in NECC Championship

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Mitchell College men's soccer team will be the fourth seed in the 2019 New England Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Championship, as announced by the league late last night.

The Mariners will host fifth-seeded Elms College in the first round on Sunday, November 3 at 2 p.m. The winner moves on to play at top-seeded Lesley University on Thursday, November 7 at 8 p.m. The title game will be held on Sunday, November 10 at the site of the highest remaining seed.

Mitchell, which went 3-3-0 in league play, enjoyed success against the teams in its half of the bracket this season. The Mariners topped Elms by a 4-2 final on October 19 and handed Lesley its lone NECC defeat by a 1-0 final on October 26.
