XC Competes at Emmanuel Saints Invitational

BOSTON - The Mitchell College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Emmanuel Saints Invitational on Friday afternoon at Franklin Park.

The men's team placed 13th out of 17 teams with a total of 322 points. The women's team finished 19th out of 19 teams with a total of 538 points.

Juniors John Hoffman and Brittany Smyth led their respective teams. Hoffman finished 20th overall with a time of 27:30.26 over the 8k course, his first sub-28 minute time of the season. Smyth placed 72nd overall and finished the 5k course in a time of 23:43.70.

Mitchell will next compete at the NECC Championship on Saturday, October 31 at Chicopee Memorial State Park in Chicopee, Mass.
