XC's Still, Sykes Compete at NCAA Regional

WESTFIELD, Mass. - A pair of Mitchell College runners represented the cross country program at the 2016 NCAA Division III New England Regional on Saturday morning at Stanley Park.

Running on the same course for the second straight week, freshman David Still and sophomore George Sykes were only seconds off of posting season-best times. However, unlike last week's conference championship race, the duo had to contend with a field of 384 competitors over the 8k track.

Still placed 206th overall with a time of 28:17.29 while Sykes finished 324th in 30:39.06. The two were the first Mitchell runners to compete in an NCAA regional since 2011.
