XC Opens the Season at Trinity

MANCHESTER, Conn. – The Mitchell College men's and women's cross country teams made their season debuts at the Trinity Invitational on Saturday morning at Wickham Park.

The Mariners placed 11th out of 11 teams in both the men's and women's competitions. David Still paced the Mitchell men with a time of 18:21.7 and placed 49th out of 122 runners. Kate McCormack led the women's squad and clocked in at 28:35.4 to finish 85th.

The race was also the debut for Mitchell head coach Jan Merrill-Morin, who took over the program this past summer.

The Mariners will next host the Mitchell Invitational on Saturday, September 16 at 10 a.m.
