XC's Still Tabbed NECC Runner of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College sophomore David Still was named New England Collegiate Conference Runner of the Week for the sport of men's cross country, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Still led the Mariners at the James Earley Invitational last week. He finished 66th in the field of 266 runners and completed the 8k course in a time of 28:35.75, trimming more than 1:40 off his time at the event in 2016.

It marked the second time this season (Sept. 18) and the third time in his career that Still has earned the weekly honor. As a rookie in 2016 he garnered all-conference first team distinction by finishing fourth overall at the NECC Championship.

Mitchell will next run at the Saints Invitational on Friday, October 13 at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
