XC Runs at CCRI Tri-State Invitational

LINCOLN, R.I. -- The Mitchell College men's and women's cross country teams ran at the CCRI Tri-State Invitational on Saturday afternoon on the CCRI Flanagan campus.

David Still covered the 8k course in a time of 30:25.70 to pace the Mitchell men, who finished seventh in the field of eight teams. Still recorded his second top-five finish of the season, placing fourth overall in the field of 63 runners. Next across the line for the Mariners was Mark Garceau in 14th place with a time of 31:53.91. Ajibola Majoyeogbe (42:59.03), Evan Kristal (44:29.53) and Joshua Moscovitch (47:50.30) rounded out the scoring for Mitchell.

In the women's 5k race, Paige Aguilar led the way with a time of 25:09.10 to place 33rd overall. Right behind her was Kate McCormack (25:27.35) in 36th place, and Sharmaine Gregor (28:46.66), Grace Burns (28:59.24) and Francesca Pinard (30:35.82) all contributed to Mitchell's team score. The Mariners placed sixth out of the six teams in the field.

Mitchell will next compete at the Westfield State Invitational on Saturday, October 6.
