XC's Garceau Earns NECC Rookie Honors for Third Straight Week

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College freshman Mark Garceau was named NECC Rookie of the Week for the sport of men's cross country, as announced by the league on Monday.

Garceau earned the honor for the third straight week. This past weekend he finished in 14th place in a field of 63 runners at the CCRI Tri-State Invitational. He ran the 8k course in a time of 31:53.91 as the Mariners finished seventh.

Mitchell will next compete at the James Earley Invitational on Saturday, October 6 in Westfield, Mass.
