Several Runners Post Top Times at James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The Mitchell College cross country teams ran at the 23rd Annual James Earley Invitational on Saturday at Stanley Park.

The Mitchell women finished 26th out of the 29 teams in the field. Paige Aguilar led the Mariners with a time of 22:34.63 and shaved more than 2:30 off her fastest 5k performance of the season. Kate McCormack was right on her heels and crossed the finish in 22:48.21, and Grace Burns (26:32.49), Francesca Pinard (27:01.74) and Victoria Chalko (29:12.55) also turned in their fastest times of the season.

The trend continued on the men's side as the Mariners finished in 29th place. All six Mitchell runners logged their fastest 8k times of the season.

Mitchell will next compete at the Suffolk Invitational on Friday, October 12.
