XC's Garceau Grabs Fourth NECC Rookie of the Week Honor

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College freshman Mark Garceau was named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week for the sport of men's cross country, as announced by the league on Monday.

Garceau earned the honor for the fourth time this season. This past weekend he posted a season-best time at the Suffolk Invite, covering the 8k course in a time of 30:23. He placed 49th overall and was the third NECC runner, and first NECC rookie, to cross the finish line.

Mitchell will next compete at the NECC Championship on Saturday, October 27 at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass.
