XC Runs at Tri-State Invitational

LINCOLN, R.I. -- The Mitchell College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Tri-State Invitational on Saturday morning on the CCRI campus. 

The Mariners finished fifth in the men's 8k race as Eastern Connecticut State University topped the field. Collin Rider turned in the top time for Mitchell, crossing the finish in 35:51.6 to place 35th.  

In the women's 5k event, Salve Regina University took home top honors while Mitchell finished fourth. Lara Jacobs paced the Mariners with a time of 22:42.5 to finish 15th overall, and Abigail Rasmussen clocked in at 24:01.5 to place 25th.

Mitchell will next compete at Western New England on Saturday, October 16 at 10:30 a.m.
