Jacobs Nabs Third ROW Honor of the Fall

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College sophomore Lara Jacobs was named New England Collegiate Conference Runner of the Week for the sport of women's cross country, as announced by the league on Monday morning.

 Jacobs earned the honor for the third time this season and fourth time in her career. She paced the Mariners at the Tri-State Invitational last week with a 5k time of 22:42.5 to finish 15^th in the field of 39 runners.

 Jacobs, who also earned the distinction on September 13 and 20, has raced in three events this season. She has been Mitchell's top finisher in all three of those events.

 Mitchell will next compete against Conn College on Friday, October 8 at Stenger Farm Park.
