XC Runs Against Conn College

WATERFORD, Conn. -- The Mitchell College men's and women's cross country teams went head-to-head with Connecticut College on Friday evening at Stenger Farms Park.

In the women's race, Lara Jacobs broke up a perfect score for the Camels, who finished atop the team standings with a total of 16 points. Jacobs placed fifth overall and clocked in at 24:37 in her first 6k race of the season. Abigail Rasmussen was the next Mitchell runner across the line in 27:45. 

The Conn men put the first seven runners across the finish to score a perfect 15 points. Evan Carney paced the Mariners, who finished with 50 points. Carney placed 14th overall and covered the 6k course in 22:54.

Mitchell will wrap up the season at the NECC Championship on Saturday, October 23.
