Blue Jays Take Two From Pequots

New London, CT- Mitchell College Softball lost 1-12 (5 innings) and 2-10 (5 innings) to Saint Joseph's College, CT on Monday.  Mitchell drops to 2-8 (2-2 AD3I) this season.   

The Blue Jays opened game one with a barrage of runs scoring 11 in the first three innings.  Mitchell was scoreless until the fourth when freshman Sara Krowlikowski (Bristol Eastern/Bristol, CT) led off the bottom half of the inning with a double. Krowlikowski was eventually drove in by senior Lauren Ferreira's single to score the team's lone run. 

Game two was much of the same from the bats of Saint Joseph's, opening with four runs again in the first.  After three innings, Mitchell was again scoreless and unable to find much of an offense until the fourth when sophomore Liz Roy (Griswold HS/Jewett City, CT) legged out triple.  Back to back singles from Krowlikowski and senior Amanda Johnson (Stonington HS/Pawcatuck, CT) tallied two runs for the home team, but it the scoring ended there. 

Mitchell will head to Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday for a 3:30 single game.  Saint Joseph's will host Western New England College on Friday, April 13th for a 3:00 PMGreat Northeast Conference doubleheader.
