Softball Blanked at Lesley

REVERE, Mass.-- Lesley University posted a pair of softball shutouts over Mitchell College on Monday evening, winning by final scores of 8-0 and 7-0 in New England Collegiate Conference action at St. Mary's Field.

Kara Haga tossed a one-hitter in the opener as the Lynx piled up eight runs on nine hits over five innings. Riley Pickett went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a homer and three RBI to pace the offense.

In the nightcap, Jordan Day allowed only two hits over 7.0 innings and struck out 12. Both Day and Pickett also homered in the game as the Lynx improved to 10-2 overall (10-2 NECC).

Hannah Lemke recorded all three hits for the Mariners, who dropped to 3-14 overall (1-9 NECC).

Mitchell will next play at Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday, April 21 at 3 p.m.
