WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS GAME TO BRIDGEWATER STATE 67-55
NEW LONDON, CT--Mitchell finished the night with four players in double digits. Senior forward Shayna Barnes (Tarrytown, NY) finished with a double-double racking up 14 points and 13 rebounds. Senior guard Alva Jeffreys (Bridgeport, CT) added two buckets from long range and a total of 14 points. Center Ashley Hansen (So., Clinton, CT) earned a double-double with her 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Bridgewater finished the game with four players in double digits. Leading the way for the Bears was senior forward Catie Furtado (Taunton, MA) with 15 points. Junior guard Justine Farroba (Dudley, MA) ended with 13 points and eight assists.
Mitchell will return to action on Thursday, January 9 when they head to Simmons College for a 7:00 PM tip-off. Bridgewater will head to the Williams College Holiday Classic on January 3rd to face Bates College for a 6:00 PM first-round game.
