Women's Basketball Preview 2007-2008

Mitchell College, under the direction of Head Coach Cas Grygorcewicz, returns four players from last year's roster, adds seven freshman and a transfer who is not new to the Pequot uniform.  This year's team is hoping to build on their 16 -11 finish last season when they won 12 of their last 13 games and finished second at the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Northeast Regional.

Look for sophomore Jenifer Iglesias as the starting point guard this season. Iglesias averaged nine points per game last year and will be a key leader for this year's group. Julie Graham inside the lane.  Graham, back to finish her Bachelors Degree, was a member of Mitchell's last junior college squad in 2004 and also the first NCAA Division III team in 2005.  Junior center Ashley Hansen returns this season, averaging 12 points and eight boards. 

Overall, look for Mitchell to continue their tradition of up-tempo offence and defense with a small, quick team.
