MBB, WBB Seeding Announced for NECC Championship

ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- The brackets have been released for the 2013 New England Collegiate Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships.

Mitchell has qualified for both the men's and women's tournament. First round action begins on Tuesday, February 19.

The men's team, seeded fourth, has earned the right to host a first round game. The Mariners will host fifth-seeded Becker College on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The two teams split the regular season series, with each squad winning on its home court.

The women's team, seeded seventh, will travel to Elms College to take on the second-seeded Blazers. The Mariners lost both meetings during the regular season. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.

First round winners will advance to the semifinals on Friday, February 22. The title game will be held on Saturday, February 23. The semifinals and finals will be hosted by the top seed, which is Elms on the men's side and Regis College on the women's.
