Women's LAX Falls at Gordon

WENHAM, Mass. -- Mitchell College lost by a 25-2 final to Gordon College on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference women's lacrosse showdown.

Katelyn Dyer led all scorers with seven goals and three assists to pace the Fighting Scots. Hannah Corrigan and Jessica Krupnikoff accounted for Mitchell's two goals on the day.

Gordon scored the first 17 goals of the contest en route to the victory. The Mariners scored the final two goals of the half, with Lindsey Fairbank feeding Corrigan on the first. Corrigan then returned the favor to Krupnikoff, who netted her first collegiate goal.

The Fighting Scots added eight goals in the second stanza and kept Mitchell off the scoreboard in the process. Gordon finished with a 37-8 edge in total shots.

Mitchell (0-4 overall) will next host Rhode Island College on Monday, March 22 at 4 p.m.
