NEW LONDON, Conn. – Becker College cruised to a 22-5 victory over Mitchell College in a New England Collegiate Conference women's lacrosse match-up on Tuesday afternoon.

Clare Conway finished with season highs of 10 goals and five assists to pace the Hawks. Arianna Calouro and Julia Ravenelle chipped in five goals apiece and combined to dish out nine assists. Becker, which held a commanding 43-24 edge in total shots, improved to 5-4 overall and 4-1 in league action.

Lindsey Fairbank and Hannah Corrigan accounted for all of Mitchell's offense. Fairbank recorded a hat trick for the third time in the last four games and also added an assist. Corrigan scored a pair of goals to bring her team-leading total to 20 on the year.

Corrigan got the Mariners started off on the right foot with a goal off a feed from Fairbank just 1:02 into the contest. Conway tied the game 54 seconds later, although Corrigan put the Mariners back up 2-1 with her second goal just under a minute later.

The Hawks owned the rest of the half, outscoring the Mariners 12-1 as Conway tallied five goals before intermission. Calouro also contributed five scores in the stanza as Becker led 13-3 at the break.

The first eight goals of the second period belonged to the visitors, with Conway contributing four during the stretch. Late in the half, a goal by Fairbank snapped a 13-0 run by the Hawks. Fairbank added a second goal just over a minute later to make it a 21-5 game. 

Conway tucked away her 10th goal in the final minute, raising her team-leading total to 33 on the season. 

Becker goalie Chloe Isola made nine saves against 14 shots. Mitchell's Ashley Holdridge finished with nine stops against 31 shots.

Mitchell (0-9 overall, 0-4 NECC) will next host New England College on Thursday, April 22 at 5 p.m. Becker wraps up the regular season with a home date against Elms College on Sunday, April 25 at noon to determine the top seed for the upcoming NECC Championship.
