Women's Soccer Drops Conference Match at Lesley

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Mitchell College women's soccer team suffered its first conference loss of the season after falling 4-0 at Lesley University on Tuesday night.

Jodi Fralick scored two goals-including the game winner-as Lesley improved to 7-2-1 overall and 2-0-0 in the NECC. Mitchell dropped to 1-7-0 overall and 1-1-0 in conference play.

Fralick and Cathryn Folkestad each scored in the early stages of the contest to give Lesley the advantage. The Lynx then added two more goals in the second half to put the game out of reach. Fralick, the reigning NECC Player of the Week, netted her second goal in the 74th minute to cap the scoring.

Sophomore Rachel Cunningham made eight saves in goal for the Mariners. Lesley goalkeeper Miranda Matson turned away one shot to secure the shutout.

Mitchell will next host Newbury College on Saturday, October 3 at 2 p.m.
