LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — The Mitchell College women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback to Lyndon State College on Sunday afternoon at the Lyndon Athletics Field.

Sarah Cornell headed home the lone goal of the contest at 69:31 off a corner kick from Katy Ebner. Lyndon State had several solid opportunities to score but could not find the net behind Mitchell goalkeeper Katie McBride. The Hornets held a 20-10 advantage in shots in the game and McBride collected 10 saves in 90 minutes of play.

Julianna Anderson made five saves in goal for the Hornets to register her second shutout of the season.

Mitchell will next play at Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday, September 17 at 4 p.m.
